Anaesthesia Workshop

An informative hands-on training programme in Ultrasound Guided Nerve Blocks was successfully organised by department of anaesthesiology on March 19 ­ 20. The 25 anaesthesiologists who participated in this programme had the opportunity to practice on a gel phanton and interact with the key trainer, Dr Elie Joseph Chidiac, an anaesthesiologist in the field of regional anaesthesia from Detroit Medical Centre, USA. Dr Shvetank Agarwal, cardiac anaesthesiologist from Detroit, assisted Dr Chidiac. Sonosite and GE provided two ultrasound machines each for the training.

Upcoming Event: Anaesthesia workshop

J Watumull Global Hospital & Research Centre will host a two-day anaesthesia workshop on Ultrasound Guided Peripheral Nerve Blocks (Single-Shot and Continuous Catheter Techniques) on March 19 – 20, 2011. Dr. Elie Joseph Chidiac, an anesthesiologist from Wayne State University, Detroit (Michigan), USA, and an internationally renowned authority on this innovative technology will be the special guest and the scientific speaker at this event. The workshop will be intuitively structured with a brilliant blend of didactics, hands-on demonstrations and training using ultrasound machines on gel dummies and healthy volunteers. Several practicing anesthesiologists and orthopedic surgeons as well as junior doctors from far and near will be taking the benefit.
