Nurses conference

Global Hospital co-organised a Holistic Health Conference for nursing professionals at the Brahma Kumaris Shantivan complex, at Abu Road from September 18 to 22. The theme of the event, Caring, Sharing & Inspiring Core Values for Better Nursing Care, was elucidated through a host of talks and workshops on allied subjects like, nursing care with dignity, spiritual care in practice, values in healthcare, balance between family life & nursing profession, motivation and inspiration for holistic nursing, mind your mind, effective stress management for nursing professionals, and experiencing God's blessings. The conference was well attended by about 3500 nurses from every part of India.

Arvind B Kulkarni, president, Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI) was a distinguished guest at the Nursing Conference. He had an opportunity to visit the P C Parmar Global Hospital Eye Care Centre and Radha Mohan Mehrotra Trauma Centre, branch hospitals at Abu Road. This is what he said about his visit - “I have visited the hospital today. The peace loving staff is doing a wonderful job. I see theories transformed into practice. It ia a blessing to the people of India.”

Sheila Seda, secretary general, TNAI, also visited these units, and opined, “True love and care reflected in a most peaceful atmosphere. The care givers, management and staff are deeply committed toward selfless service towards humanity.”

Visit by Padamshri Dr V K Dada

We were fortunate to have Padamshri Dr V K Dada and his wife Dr Kamlesh Dada visit the P C Parmar Global Hospital Eye Care Centre and Radha Mohan Mehrotra Global Hospital Trauma Centre at Abu Road on September 20. A pioneer of many ophthalmic procedures like phaco surgery, refractive surgery (lasik) and the prescription of contact lenses and low vision aids in India, Dr V K Dada was formerly chief, Dr R P Eye Centre, AIIMS, New Delhi. He also held the positions of advisor in Ophthalmology to the Government of India and Armed Forces of India, as well as was honorary ophthalmic surgeon to the President of India and Prime Minister of India.

Here is what Dr V K Dada said about his visit:

“It is a real honor to be in this institute. You are all blessed due to the presence of divine Dadi ji & Bhai ji who guide your way towards ultimate reality. Once you follow that, all your work will be highly successful.”

While in Mount Abu on September 19, the couple had also visited J Watumull Global Hospital & Research Centre, where, reflecting on his stay with the Brahma Kumaris and visits to several units of the Global Hospital & Research Centre trust, Dr V K Dada opined,

"It was an honour to be in the spiritual retreat. It has been a nice blend of high medical services given in a capsule of spirituality. Pray to Almighty to keep on showering His blessing on this august organisation."

Sharing her thoughts about what she had seen and experienced, Dr Kamlesh Dada said, "I am amazed about the work and teachings and dedication."
