Squint surgery programme

Under aegis of the ORBIS sponsored project Nayanraj, the P C Parmar Global Hospital Eye Care Centre, Abu Road, organised a strabismus (squint) surgery programme for school children on September 12 and 13. Paediatric eye surgeon Dr Jitender Jethani operated 12 paediatric squint patients, one adult squint patient, 4 paediatric cataract cases requiring intra-ocular lens implants, and 5 paediatric ptosis corrections (see left for photograph of beneficiaries). Dr Jethani was also consulted by 68 patients during a paediatric ophthalmology clinic he conducted on September 12.
